Stapleton Hotel Denver: A Byproduct Of Development
A hotel, even if it’s a one-star, two-star, three-star, or four-star is really nothing more than a byproduct of development. The Stapleton Hotel Denver is no exception. The hotel is situated in Stapleton, Denver, in what was once the Stapleton airport. Plans for redeveloping the Stapleton International Airport with Denver International Airport began in 1989. Urban developers began to discuss how to best redevelop the site where the Stapleton International Airport was standing. But it wasn’t until 1995 that the Stapleton Development Foundation produced a master plan which draw a picture of an urban development project that is pedestrian-oriented rather than automobile-oriented – a design common among many other planned developments.
