Three States - Natchez Trace Parkway
Passing through three states (with the majority of the road in Mississippi), the Natchez Trace Parkway is likely one of the most traveled roads in the nation, at least by vacationers. This 444-mile road has quite a few different attractions that many people from all walks of life enjoy. In fact, some just like driving along the peaceful and scenic road. A number of different historic sites are available as well. The Meriwether Lewis National Monument as well as the Mount Locust Stand are just two of these interesting and historical areas where people can visit. Others include the Tupelo National Battlefield and the Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield Site. Many come to the Natchez Trace Parkway to take part in a number of the different outdoor activities offered as well. A number of places to hike, bike, horseback ride and fish are also very popular along the length of the Natchez Trace Parkway. At various times, people can also attend programs led by park rangers that educate people on the different types of plants and animals in the area, as well as discussing some conservational topics. The Natchez Trace Parkway has something to offer everyone who drives along it.
