Problem Gambler Loses Court Case Against William Hill

Greyhound trainer, Graham Calvert, who lost over ₤2 million and tried to sue the betting giant William Hill for not showing “duty of care” when they allowed him to continue gambling after he requested that they close his account, has lost his High Court case against the high street betting shop company.

The High Court Judge, Mr. Justice Briggs ruled that  "William Hill’s failure to take reasonable click here care to exclude him from telephone gambling… did not therefore cause Mr. Calvert any measurable financial or other loss." Mr. Calvert has also been ordered to pay legal costs incurred by William Hill for fighting their case.
