Horseback Riding and English Saddles
I visited my friend at her farm over the weekend, and she told me all about her horses. It was quite interesting, since I don’t know much about them. I wasn’t able to try horseback riding this time because she didn’t have an appropriate saddle for her best-tempered, most gentle horse. Since I’m a novice, she was reluctant to put me on any of her more feisty animals – and I’m glad! Her other horses are much bigger, so they require different sized English saddles. I think I’d rather ride a smaller horse anyway – that way it’s not as far to the ground if I fall off! I’m a little nervous but also really excited about horseback riding for the first time!
