Second research article
The second research article in this magic shop series is entitled the carboxy termini of Sir4 and Sir3 localization: evidence for a multicomponent complex required for yeast telomeric silencing. This article appeared in The Journal of Cell Biology during 1995. Both research articles provide evidence for RAP1 protein interaction. In addition to this, the second research article also provides evidence for specific protein interaction with RAP1 and their function in helping to activate telomere silencing sites. The information contained in this article has proven very useful in laboratoy studies and offers some interesting direction for future study.
