Deck Stain Is Absorbed Into The Wood
I heard about staining and painting and their differences recently. I knew something about paint and how you could put two coats, and how the same does not work so well with deck stain. I think I saw that the difference is that deck stain is to be absorbed into the wood to protect it and that paint simply goes on the outside of something, and is not absorbed. This would have been helpful to know when I was staining my uncle’s deck and I kept thinking that I had to cover every little spot for it to look could, when I could have just let the deck stain soak in.
