Buyers Guide for Pilates Mats
Pilates Mats are basic exercise equipment for a Pilates workout. When planning to buy one, choose a mat that is half-an-inch thick. It should be firm and well padded to support your back when you do rolling exercises such as Open Leg Rocker and Seal. Because a Pilates workout aims to improve your balance and promote proper body alignment, the mat that you must use should not be too soft. And make sure that the mat is wide and long enough to accommodate your every movement. Lastly, make sure that the mat is non-absorbent and has a good grip on the floor to avoid slipping and gliding.
