There are many hallmark occasions that hearken to a life well lived. Christenings, graduations, confirmations, memorials and weddings are but a few of these. Weddings happen to be one of my favorite occasions. So much emotion is spent trying to stage the entire production.
A wedding involves the talents of so many different people. Coordinating these folks is a giant task for anyone. I have learned through the past many years that selecting the right photographer can make or break an event. We started with a list of photographers, set appointment times to visit their galleries, spoke with them about costs involved and simply chatted about other things for a time. If the photographer was gracious and focused on the questions, without looking at the clock, that experience was chocked up as positive. Taking the time to look at photographs of other wedding told us a lot about the style of photography used to capture the completeness of the event.
